Extremely dissatisfying service

In general: I do not typically write reviews, but with this hotel and their staff I could not pass it up. Every year my family and I make the same trip to inner harbor for the aquarium and just all around great atmosphere. We booked the Chase at Lexington way back in October of 2018. The date is now February 21st, exactly 2 weeks prior to the dates of our trip, and I received an email from the hotel stating that they cannot accommodate our one night stay and need a minimum three nights to stay. Now, I would have been okay with this news back in October, but they waited a whole 4 months all for them to tell me that they "just noticed" this. At this point in time, it would be difficult during spring break to be able to find any good places at a reasonable price. Frustrated with the news as it was, I reached out to the property manager I suppose, Lorraine was her name and let's just say I could've gotten better service with a McDonald's manager. She angrily answered the phone and told me that she would call back. 2 hours go by and nothing happens. Call again, and says she had to call back when she wasn't driving. Still heard nothing from her so I took great pleasure in contacting my travel agency which was Booking.com and spoke to a wonderful rep that found me a much nicer hotel and even reimbursed me on any extra expenses that I would need to pay for the reservation. I'm sure this is a wonderful hotel, however, it is poorly staffed in my opinion and the customer service that I got was in my opinion extremely rude for a mistake that was made by them. I feel as though they knew they messed up and wanted me to just be okay with it. PS. Please be careful with booking with this hotel, I would call to book to make sure they can accommodate you properly. Nothing more frustrating than getting a call 4 months later saying they can no longer accommodate you. I guess the early bird doesn't always get the worm. Best of luck!
